Missing Manatee boy home safe, father still at large

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies say a 12-year-old Manatee boy who disappeared after his mother and father had a domestic incident has returned home, but his father is still at large.

On Monday morning, the sheriff’s office said the boy had returned home. Deputies believed he was in danger and had sent out a missing child alert on Sunday.

Detectives say Harlan Laroche Jr., 41, had a fight with the boy’s mother and left with their son, Nathaniel Harlan Laroche, 12 on Saturday night. The family lives in Bradenton.

Laroche is wanted in connection with the domestic incident.

Laroche may be driving a black Kia SUV with an unknown Indiana tag.
