Tampa Bay area hosting multiple job fairs in January

If you’re looking for a job, multiple businesses and organizations are hosting job fairs this month in the Tampa Bay area.

Veterans are invited to Tampa career event

A hiring event for veterans and military spouses is being held Thursday, January 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The job fair will be located at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 North W.C. MacInnes Place in downtown Tampa.

More than 400 veterans are expected to attend and network with veteran-friendly employers. There will be national, regional and local job opportunities, as well as entrepreneurial and educational offerings.

Pittsburgh Pirates, Bradenton Marauders hosting multiple job fairs

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders will host a pair of job fairs at Pirate City this month. The dates are Thursday, January 7 and Wednesday, January 20. Each fair will be split into a morning and evening session. The morning sessions will run from 9 a.m. – noon. The fair will reopen in the evening from 6-8 p.m. each day.

Interested applicants will be able to have on-the-spot interviews during the job fair. Available positions include concessions workers, stadium set-up and break down staff, Kids Zone attendants, 50/50 raffle ticket sellers, and ushers.

Pirate City is located on 27th Street East in Bradenton, across the street from Wakeland Elementary School. Interested job seekers that cannot attend the job fair can apply for positions online at Careers.Pirates.com.

Tampa Bay Job and Career Fair: St. Petersburg Police Department, Verizon among organizations looking to hire

Come on out to the Tampa Bay Job and Career Fair on Monday, January 11. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Coliseum in Downtown St. Petersburg.

Representatives from more than 75 for-profit, government and non-profit organizations will be available. Verizon, the St. Petersburg Police Department, Lowes, Tradewinds Resort, WOW and Enterprise are among the organizations and companies that will be on hand. These companies have immediate employment needs from entry-level positions to skilled trade, health care and even top managerial positions. There is something for everyone at the Tampa Bay Job Fair.
