New Year’s Eve Hangover Stew



4 cups large chunks of smoked ham

1 ham bone

2cups lg chop carrot

2 cups lg chopped onion

2 cups raw chopped bacon

4 packed cups washed and chopped collard greens

2 cups black eye peas soaked in 4 cups of water over night then strained

2 tsp chopped garlic

1/4 cup hot sauce

1 cup apple cider vinegar

8 cups chicken stock



in a large stock pot cook bacon on medium heat till browned. add onion and carrot and cook till slightly browned. add collard greens and cook till wilted. add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. reduce heat to simmer and cooked covered for 30 minutes. remove lid and simmer for another 30 minutes uncovered. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
