TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Two teenagers pulled a woman out of her car, beat her up and took the vehicle, according to Tampa police. Officers are looking for those teens.
It happened early Sunday morning at the intersection of North 9th Street and East Hillsborough Avenue. The victim, Joyce Rowland, 48, is homeless and lives in the car. According to TPD, the teens pulled her out of her black 2003 Ford Explorer, battered her and took the vehicle.
Rowland was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
One of the suspects is described as a black male between 15 and 17 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The second suspect is a black female between 15 and 17 years old, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 100 pounds. She was wearing dark clothing too.
They were last seen driving the car north on North 9th.
The Ford is in poor condition, the driver’s side window doesn’t go up. It has FL tag 161-2PM.
