Lake Wales man is charged with armed meth trafficking

LAKE WALES, Fla. (WFLA) – A Lake Wales man was arrested Wednesday and charged with trafficking meth. Charles Snively, 50, is being held without bond.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies received an anonymous tip and went to 4443 Mammoth Grove Road. Deputies said there was a strong chemical order coming from the residence’s shed. Inside that shed deputies found two jugs with liquid, which tested positive for methamphetamines.

Deputies seized 24 pounds of meth.

In the suspect’s vehicle, deputies found meth residue in a baggie, a glass pipe and a firearm. Snively was charged with armed trafficking in meth (more than 200 grams), maintaining a structure for drug trafficking and possessing paraphernalia.
