Woman arrested after slashing boyfriend’s tires, going after him with knife

PASCO COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – A woman was taken to jail after she slashed her boyfriend’s tires and went after him with a knife, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened Saturday on Calvary Road in Holiday. PCSO deputies responded to a report of a woman with a knife attacking her boyfriend. Deputies found out that the woman Sarah Eckel, 31, and her boyfriend were having a fight about money and her drug abuse.

Deputies said she armed herself with a knife and slashed the tires on his van. She picked up a cinder block and threw it through the van’s window. The man had locked himself inside the van, so Eckel reached inside and began slashing at him. Then she reached in, opened the doors, got in the vehicle and went after the guy with the knife.

She ran away before the deputies arrived. K9 Deputy Mark Pini and K9 Yogi tracked her down to an empty trailer on the property. She was arrested and taken to the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center.

She is charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault and Throw/Shoot Deadly Missile into Occupied Structure or Vehicle.
