PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Drivers can expect delays on I-75 southbound after a deadly crash involving four vehicles Friday morning.
It happened at 5:53 a.m. on I-75 southbound just north of SR-52, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. An FHP spokesperson said that the inside lane is closed.
At least one person was airlifted to the hospital. Several of the vehicles involved in the crash were commercial.
It happened in an active construction zone on I-75, but it is not known if crews were working at the time of the crash.
As of 8:30 a.m., one southbound lane was open. Traffic is backed up.
FHP is asking motorists to use caution when driving in the area.
