Clearwater missing man located

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – Clearwater police located the missing elderly man with dementia.

Lawrence N. Taitt was last seen Friday afternoon when he left his residence on Hickory Court in the Countryside area. According to his relative Tiffany Griffith, his wife was at her treatment appointment, when he walked out of the house.

He is 80 years old, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He last was seen wearing khaki shorts, a red plaid button-up shirt and sandals. He is originally from Barbados and has threatened to leave before to walk back there. He has made at least three attempts to do it, Griffith said. He has lived in Tampa Bay area on and off for a few years.

Taitt was located in New Port Richey Saturday afternoon.
