Rover.com has released a list of 2015’s top dog names. The company, which describes itself as “the nation’s largest network of dog lovers for hire,” searched through databases to figure out the names pet owners turned to this year.
The company says more people are giving their dogs human names. In fact, there was a 30 percent increase in dogs receiving human names between 2013 and 2015.
Ten percent of dog names were inspired by pop culture, Rover.com says. The “Hunger Games,” “Harry Potter” and “Star Wars” were the most popular choices.
