Cops: Arsonist set pile of firewood ablaze at St. Pete home

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) — St. Petersburg police are asking for the public’s help identifying the arsonist who they say intentionally poured an accelerant on a pile of firewood for sale and set it on fire.

Police say the incident occurred on Saturday, November 28th at 7:29 a.m. at 4585 17th Ave N. The firewood pile and a nearby vehicle were damaged. The video above, released by the St. Pete Police Department, shows the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man, late 20’s to early 40’s, wearing a light blue or green hooded jacket and blue jeans. He was driving a 2000 gold Toyota Corolla.
