All Children’s Hospital hosts Thanksgiving feast with Rays

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – All Children’s Hospital hosted a special Thanksgiving feast for patients and their families unable to leave the on Thursday.

From turkey to pumpkin pie, all of the traditional dishes were on hand for families to feel right at home.

The feast was hosted in part by the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team and Kevin Cash, the team’s manager. The event has a special connection to the hospital and its mission.

“Our first born was born here and had some heart issues. It’s nice to get back here, and I think we have a little bit of appreciation for what these parents are going through, especially over a holiday,” Cash said.

After Thanksgiving dinner was served, Cash made a surprise visit to one patient who was unable to leave his room.
