Two men killed in motorcycle accident in Tampa

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – Two men are dead after an early morning motorcycle accident in Tampa.

According to Tampa Police, the accident happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. Two men were riding on the same motorcycle, travelling south on Jones Avenue North. They hit a pothole and lost control of the motorcycle near the 8400 block.

Both men were ejected from the motorcycle and were pronounced dead on scene.

Parts of Jones Avenue North were shut down for hours as investigators mapped out the crash site.

Toxicology reports are pending, but Tampa Police believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
