80-year old Billy Aldridge died in an Indianapolis nursing home last month. The facility administrators say he didn’t have any family to make arrangements.

So, the company handling the services posted Bill’s story on their Facebook page and asked the public to help them give him a dignified funeral.

The response was overwhelming and more than 1,000 people attended Tuesday’s services.

Fellow veterans and complete strangers showed up to pay their respects.
