USF Tampa campus going tobacco-free

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — University of South Florida is committed to providing a safe, healthy and enjoyable learning, living and working environment. Effective January 4, 2016, the USF Tampa Campus will become entirely tobacco and smoke free.

Smoking and use of tobacco products will not be allowed in any indoor or outdoor area, including parking garages, grounds, sidewalks or recreational areas. This policy also includes the use of e-cigarettes.

By becoming a tobacco and smoke free campus, USF hopes to promote overall health and wellness for the university community and create a more attractive and enjoyable campus experience by completely eliminating smoking and tobacco product use.
