FHP trooper shoots suspect at hit-and-run crash scene in Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK, FL (WFLA) – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a shooting at a hit and run crash scene in Pinellas Park, according to police.

It happened Monday afternoon at the 2900 block of Grand Avenue. Pinellas Park Police officers were working the hit and run scene together with FHP troopers when FHP got involved in a shooting with two suspects.

One of the suspects was shot. Officials didn’t provide any information on the injuries.
