Police-involved shooting under investigation in Bradenton

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — Bradenton Police are working an officer-involved shooting with two crime scenes early Monday morning. The crimes scenes are at the 2300 block of 13th Street West in Bradenton and the 600 block of 27th Street East in Palmetto. Police remain on scene.

According to police, an officer was injured during the incident. The officer was taken to the hospital with a twisted knee, and is expected to be okay.

Police say the suspect was shot at the Palmetto location and was taken to Blake Hospital by Manatee County EMS in fair condition.

FDLE is on scene conducting an investigation.
