Residential fire kills 2 people, pets in Seffner

SEFFNER, FL (WFLA) – A residential fire killed two people, two cats and a dog at a home in Seffner Saturday evening, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report.

It happened at the 5200 block of Presidental Street at about 8 p.m. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to the reported fire. When they put it out and got inside the house, they found two people dead in the kitchen.

They also found two cats and a dog that were also dead inside the house.

Hillsborough deputies and firefighters together with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to determine the official cause of death and origin of the fire.

Officials said they do not suspect a foul play at this time.
