Tampa Police say the driver of a black sedan was traveling down Main Street at a high rate of speed around 11:25 p.m. when the driver lost control of the car and left the roadway. The car then struck a wall, crashing through an iron fence and into a home at 2535 W Main St, before coming to rest in the front yard of the house.

Both adult occupants in the vehicle died at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The homeowner tells News Channel 8 that three adults, a one-year-old, and a newborn baby were all home last night when the car smashed into the house. Some of the relatives were upstairs and some were in the back of the house. One adult who lives in the front bedroom works an overnight shift and was not home at the time of the crash. The homeowner says all of the relatives are fine.
