Families invited to ‘Neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat’ at The Learning Experience in Lakewood Ranch

LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL – The Learning Experience® (TLE®), one of the nation’s fastest growing Academies of Early Education for children six weeks to five years old, in Lakewood Ranch is celebrating its grand opening by hosting a safe Halloween-themed “Neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat” event on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14425 Arbor Green Trail in Lakewood Ranch.

At this free event open to the community, children will be saying “trunk or treat” instead of “trick or treat” as they participate in a fun alternative to the traditional door-to-door version of Halloween. Turning the backs of cars, minivans, and sport utility vehicles into the new front porch, trunk-or-treating brings Halloween to the safety of TLE®’s parking lot, where children and parents can go from vehicle to vehicle to view decorated trunks, admire costumes and collect tasty treats.

The event will also feature Halloween-inspired educational activities, including a pumpkin patch and decorating stations, a child-friendly obstacle course, photo booth, bounce house, and of course, a best decorated trunk contest!

“Communities are often bound together by the common goal to protect and educate the next generation. This is what inspired us to open our doors and connect all in the neighborhood through a fun, interactive event,” said Katie Salyer, Center Director, TLE® Lakewood Ranch.

Marking TLE®’s entrance into Manatee County, its Lakewood Ranch center complements TLE’s existing locations in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. “As the demand for quality early education continues to rise, we are committed to meet the needs of our community by doing our part to create a safe and secure learning environment with a strong educational foundation for our students,” added Salyer.

TLE® places a prominent focus on programs that advance scholastic and social preparation, including its one-of-a-kind L.E.A.P.® (Learning Experience Academic Program) curriculum and enrichment programs, which have been developed from more than 30 years of experience in the early education industry. TLE®’s well-rounded approach to early learning includes early literacy programs, sign language, manners and etiquette, physical fitness, foreign languages, philanthropy, and many more programs that have proven to dramatically impact the lives of young children.
