PHOENIX, AZ (WFLA) – A dust storm rolling through parts of Phoenix, AZ, was caught on camera this week.
A helicopter video shows the wall of dust blowing in the South Valley, NBC reported. Meteorologists say storms like this can reach up to 5,000 feet in height. This type of dust storm is called ‘Haboob.’
Low visibility and strong winds have been reported in the area, with gusts of up to 64 miles per hour.
Meteorologists expect heavy rain; flash flood warnings are in effect.
