Sebring store clerk dies, suspect at large after armed robbery

SEBRING, FL (WFLA) – A clerk was killed and the suspect is at large after an armed robbery at a Sebring convenience store, according to police.

It happened early Saturday morning at the Shell Food Mart located at 629 N. Ridgewood Dr. The clerk at the store was shot and wounded, according to Sebring Police. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was identified as Mustak Ahmed, 61. He died later Saturday.

The suspect described as black male remains at large. Officers said they took surveillance video from the store into evidence, but they haven’t released any more information yet.
