Search at Bradenton motel leads to 4 drug arrests

Manatee County sheriff's deputies made arrests after searching two rooms at a Bradenton motel.


BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) – Four men were arrested Saturday after Manatee County sheriff’s deputies executed two search warrants at a Bradenton motel, authorities said.

Detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division executed two narcotics related search warrants on separate rooms at the M Star Motel at 6511 14th St. W. Bradenton.

During the search detectives found 28.8 grams of rock cocaine; 5.2 grams of marijuana; 19.7 grams of heroin, a trafficking amount; 2 Hydrocodone pills, and $5,444 in cash. The narcotic value was $4,660, the news release states.

Tony W. Collins, 38, was arrested on charges of possession of heroin and possession of marijuana; Cornelius L Shannon, 34, arrested on charges of trafficking in heroin and possession of cocaine; Gregory Washington Jr., 29, arrested on charges of trafficking in heroin and possession of rock cocaine; and John L.
