ORLANDO, FL (WESH) – A 5-year-old boy left alone on a day care bus for about five hours Friday is in good condition and has been returned to his parents.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, an individual walking through the parking lot near Winner’s Preschool and Child Care off Silver Star Road noticed the child in the bus and called 911.

Deputies determined the boy had been left on the bus from 8:20 a.m. to after 1 p.m., officials said. Some of the vehicle’s windows were slightly rolled down, according to the sheriff’s office.

Child abuse investigators will be filing neglect charges against the bus driver and two of the day care workers who failed to take the child from the bus when it arrived at the facility Friday morning, the sheriff’s office said.
