Alaska Airlines misplaced its CEO’s bag on flight

WASHINGTON, DC (WFLA) – Even airline executives can’t avoid traveling woes. NBC reports that Alaska Airlines CEO Brad Tilden’s checked bag was misplaced on his flight.

Tilden told the audience at an airline gathering in Washington, DC, that his checked bag had been misplaced during his flight, NBC reports citing LA Times. Alaska Airlines confirmed that the bag was delivered to him within 24 hours after his arrival.

“Brad often will often check his carry-on bag on busy flights to make room for customers to stow their bags in the overhead bins,” Alaska Airlines spokeswoman Bobbie Egan told NBC. “While very rare since we implemented our baggage service guarantee, there are times when we misplace a bag and this was one of those times.”

According to NBC, Alaska Airlines offers its passengers $25 discount code or a 2500 bonus miles if their bag is not on the luggage carousel within 20 minutes of the plane’s arrival.

It is unclear if Tilden is going to take the discount or the miles.
