MN bride bills couple for food after no-show at wedding

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN (WFLA) – A Minnesota couple RSVPed to a relative’s wedding but couldn’t attend after all. They were extremely surprised when they got a bill in the mail for the wedding food they hadn’t eaten.

Jessica Barker and her husband couldn’t go because their baby-sitter backed out. But that excuse didn’t fly with the bride. She sent the couple a bill for nearly $76 for two entrees. The bill included the tax. The bride also asked in the not why the couple hadn’t shown up.

Baker is not planning on paying but she is wondering what she could have done differently. A wedding magazine expert says the bride shouldn’t have asked for the reason or send a bill.
