HOMOSASSA, Fla. (WFLA) – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office has closed part of US 19 in Homosassa after a hole formed in the road.

The sheriff’s office says the northbound lanes of US 19 are shut down near the Village Cadillac Toyota dealership, which is located at 2431 S. Suncoast Blvd (US 19).

The hole is about two feet wide and could be 10 feet deep, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office is asking drivers to avoid this area if at all possible, and if you do have to drive in the area, to drive slow.
