PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – The former home of August A. Busch Jr is going on the auction block. The home has a unique history and guest list.

Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio have stayed there. So have Babe Ruth, Frank Sinatra, Steven Tyler, Mariah Carey and the entire band Chicago. The property includes three separate homes with 7,000 square feet of livable space. The current owner, John Desilva is putting the property up for auction.

“Anyone can buy a home, to buy a property like this with the guest list and history it’s unparalleled, ” said Ryon Williams with The Birds of Paradise LLC that now runs the home. The property is currently available for rent. For $25,000 a week, it can be yours.

“We can rent out 365 days a year, which is unlike any other property and with that, I mean the business plan is just tremendous,” said Williams. The starting bid to buy the property will be 3.9 million dollars. Williams says the home appraised two years ago for 10.5 million.

The current owners has also gained approval to expand the homes, raising them from just one story to two and three stories just off of Pass A Grille beach. The expansion would increase the livable space to 17 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms. Outside is a pool and hot tub and room for a very large yacht.

“This is the largest private dockage in the continental United States. It can accommodate a 130 foot yacht,” said Williams. Four presidents, Lyndon Johnson, Gerald Ford, Bill Clinton and George Bush have stayed a the home. “It’s got a great view of the water and pool. It’s interesting all of the glass facing the water are bullet proof from when the President’s stayed,” said Williams.
