Sarasota woman wins $1 million in lottery scratch-off game

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – A lottery scratch-off ticket has made a Sarasota woman $1 million richer.

Jody Bedard, 56, of Sarasota, claimed a $1 million prize in the $10,000,000 FLORIDA CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

She purchased her winning ticket from Petro Stop, located at 3951 Clark Road in Sarasota. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Bedard chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $740,849.60.

Bedford paid $25 for the winning ticket which was from the $10,000,000 FLORIDA CASH scratch-off game.
