Military Family Gets a Surprise from The White Sox & Eckrich

The Chicago White Sox partnered with Eckrich, Jewel-Osco and the non-profit Operation Homefront to surprise and honor Purple Heart Winner Joseph Yancoskie and his wife Jacqueline Yancoskie, a local Chicago military family.

First, Joseph and Jacqueline Yancoskie, were surprised by Eckrich at a Jewel-Osco in downtown Chicago with tickets to the Chicago White Sox game and the opportunity for Joseph to throw out the first pitch at the game. But, the surprises for the Yancoskie family didn’t end there.  Just before making the ceremonial pitch, Eckrich recognized the family on-field and presented them with free groceries for one year at Jewel-Osco on behalf of Eckrich.

The day’s events are part of the ongoing campaign by Eckrich to honor, thank and support military families through its partnership with Operation Homefront, a national non-profit whose mission is to build strong, stable and secure military families.

Eckrich, in its fourth year of partnership with the non-profit Operation Homefront organization, recently surpassed $1 million in donations since 2012.
