Two dead, four injured in early morning crash in Bradenton

Bradenton accident causes concern for residents.

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) – Two men are dead and four people are injured in an early morning crash in Bradenton.

Florida Highway Patrol tells News Channel 8 29-year-old Gaston S. Vega Hernan of Bradenton lost control of the 2007  Nissan Armada he was driving  around a curve on 30th Street West in Bradenton just after 3 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The car struck a tree, rolled over and slammed into a row of parked cars at a business park on 4625 30th Street West. The car then rammed into two pedestrians who were outside, waiting to collect newspapers to distribute from the center.

Vega and one of his passengers, 21-year-old Marco Antonio Garcia, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers, 37-year-old Roberto E. Villalta of Bradenton and 26-year-old Julio De La Torre of Bradenton were both transported to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both pedestrians, 36-year-old Miya Latresse Farmer of Bradenton and 39-year-old Colbert Lovell Farmer of Bradenton, were taken to Blake Medical Center. Latresse Farmer’s injuries are listed as critical.

The roadway between 30th Street West and 46th Avenue West was blocked 5 ½ hours on Sunday morning as troopers investigated the crash.
