BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) – A Palmetto teen who was wanted for the murder of a Bradenton 16 year old turned himself in to authorities on Thursday morning, according to Bradenton police.
Jamari Lamon Murray-Barnes, age 17, was wanted for the shooting death of Justin Fabien, age 16. Investigators say Fabien was killed around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.
Bradenton police responded to a call about shots fired in the 1200 block of East 21st Street and found Fabien on the ground, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police officers performed CPR on Fabien, however he was declared dead twenty minutes later.
Murray-Barnes was charged with one count of first degree murder. Detectives say Murray-Barnes is not cooperating with investigators.
