UPDATE: Tanner Neutzling has been located.

PREVIOUS STORY: SARASOTA, FL (WFLA) — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a 13-year-old boy who walked away from his home on Saddle Creek Trail in Sarasota Wednesday night. Tanner Neutzling, 13, is considered developmentally delayed, but is familiar with the wooded area surrounding his home and has wandered off on two previous occasions. Tanner eventually goes to a nearby residence or convenience store when he’s ready to go home. Tanner is 5’1” tall and 95 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. A recent photo of Tanner is attached.

Deputies and the K9 unit searched the area overnight, and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office supported the search with its air unit. The volunteer group Sarasota K9 Search and Rescue is on its way to the area, and A Child Is Missing is issuing a local alert phone call to homes in the area.

Anyone who sees Tanner should call the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number 941-316-1201.
