Woman suspected of robbing bank in Citrus at large

INVERNESS, FL (WFLA) – Citrus deputies are looking for a woman suspected of robbing a bank on Highway 44 Monday.

It happened at the SunTrust bank located at 2001 Highway 44 West. Citrus County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the alarm company about a possible robbery at the bank. When the deputies arrived, they confirmed that the female suspect showing no weapons robbed the bank giving a note to the teller.

She left on foot gong west on Highway 44.

According to the CCSO, she was about 22-29 years old, small build, about 5 feet tall. She had brown hair. She was wearing a white shirt, black pants, a jacket and an FSU hat.

CCSO had a K-9 unit, an Air unit and several deputies on scene. They continue the investigation.
