TGH Offers Free Health Education Classes

Did you know that Tampa General Hospital offers free health education classes available the public year round? Community Relations & Health Education Manager Mary Jane Harrington visited Around the Bay to provide information about these classes. TGH offers about 26 education classes and 17 support groups ranging from diabetes and habits for healthy kids to diabetes and smoking cessation. They even offer a babysitting class for children 11-15 years old that teaches them basic first aid, how to handle emergency situations and age-appropriate play activities. For more information or to register for classes, call 1-800-822-3627 or visit www.TGH.org/HealthEd.
