16-year-old killed in Bradenton, police say

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A 16-year-old male was shot to death in Bradenton early Monday morning, police say. Bradenton Police officers responded to the 1200 block of East 21st Street for a report of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. Once on scene, they found the victim, 16-year-old Justin Fabien of Bradenton, on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Bradenton Police say officers performed CPR on the victim until rescue crews arrived, however Fabien was declared deceased twenty minutes later. Police say there are no witnesses at this time. The Manatee County Homicide Investigative Unit responded and is investigating this incident.

This is the third homicide of the year that has occurred in Bradenton.
