PHOENIX, AZ (NBC) – Bondsmen in Arizona got wrong information tracking a fugitive and ended up in front of a house of a police chief, KPNX reported.
About two dozen bondsmen from two different bond recovery companies confronted Chief Joe Yahner by mistake. KPNX reported citing police, that the bondsmen didn’t leave when they were told the fugitive from Oklahoma they were looking for wasn’t there.
The bondsmen banged on the chief’s door and pointed their flashlights to the windows demanding for the fugitive to exit.
Police responded to the house by about 10 p.m. after calls of disturbance.
The owner of one of the bond-recovery companies Brent Farley, 43, was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Investigators are looking into the source of the false information.
