Rain forces Buccaneers to cancel open practice on first day of training camp

Heavy rains soak the practice field at One Buc Place.

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were forced to cancel their first open practice of training camp due to inclement weather conditions. Heavy rainfall prompted the team to delay their regularly scheduled start time of 2:30pm to 5:00pm Saturday. Just after 4:15pm, the team decided to call off the open practice completely. The Buccaneers may still practice Saturday night, weather permitting, but the event will not be open to the public.

The Bucs’ next scheduled open practice is Sunday, August 2 at 4:30pm. Gates open at 3:30pm for fans.
