TAMARAC, Fla. (AP) — Broward Sheriff’s investigators are searching for a man they say snatched an iPad from a 4-year-old boy as he watched cartoons while waiting for his mother at a beauty salon.

The store’s surveillance video shows the man, who may be a teenager, pacing outside the front windows of Grace Salon in Tamarac around 7 p.m. on July 24.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports he walked inside and asked a receptionist if his mother was there. When she turned to look, the man grabbed the iPad from the child who was sitting in chair near the door. He ran out of the salon. The receptionist and the child ran out the door after him but he was gone.

Broward Crime Stoppers is offering up to $3,000 for information.
