HUDSON, FL. (WFLA) – A depression formed near an apartment building in Pasco County leaving three families without homes, county officials said.
Building inspectors, Pasco Fire Rescue and Emergency Management responded to 12319 Little Road in Hudson after receiving a call around noon after a resident noticed water had drained under the foundation of their apartment building.
After discovering a depression 4 inches wide by 18 inches across, Pasco Building Inspectors tagged the home as “do not occupy”
Apartment management said they would pay to house the residents at a hotel. According to Pasco officials, three out of the four units were occupied at the time. The residents of one of the apartments was on vacation and not at home at the time the depression formed.
Friday night after receiving word via the media there was an issue with the resident’s lodging, Pasco Emergency Management reached out to the apartment managers who said they were working on getting the residents in a hotel as quickly as they can.
Only two families will be housed in hotels. A third family said they wanted to stay with relatives.
