HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – Hillsborough deputies were responding to a report of a dog bite when they discovered a drug house in the county Sunday.
It happened around 1 p.m. on Teakwood Avenue. The dispatch received a call from a woman complaining she had been bitten by a dog. When HCSO deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim Allene Canterbury of Tampa with multiple cuts and bite marks from an 18-month-old pit bull that had escaped from the house.
EMS crew transported Canterbury to a hospital. The deputies could smell a strong marijuana odor coming from the house where the dog lived. The residents were helpful during the dog bit investigation but their behavior changed when the deputies asked for permission to search the house. The residents refused so HCSO deputies got a search warrant.

Deputies arrested Michael Portelli, 24, and Jonathan Cintron, 22. They were booked to the Orient Road Jail.
