TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – A pedestrian was hit by a car in Tampa Sunday morning. The victim died.
The crash happened on Tidewater Trail and Deauville Drive. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. Officials didn’t release any information about the victim or how the accident happened.
WFLA Facebook follower provided photos from the scene.
The residents said the victim may have been a woman. A neighbor who lived in the area for almost 40 years Riloa Henry said she was overwhelmed.
“To know that this girl, you know, nobody even knows who she is, where she came from, but to find her dead just two doors down from your house is just, it’s overwhelming,” she said. “It’s been a very quiet neighborhood. We never had any very bad incidents, especially of this nature. You know it was just overwhelming just to know that there was a homicide in this area. ”
Alison Rivera, who claimed she knew the victim, said somebody left the victim on Tidewater Trail.
“I woke up at six o’clock this morning and they said she got in her head and somebody left her here,” she said. “I want people to know how beautiful of a person she was. It doesn’t matter where she came from or what she was doing. Every time she would see you she would greet you, hey, how are you doing? If you needed money she would help you.”
