BROOKSVILLE, FL (WFLA) – Confederate flag supporters gathered in Brooksville to ride to Ocala together for the Ocala Southern Pride rally Sunday morning.
The supporters gather at the Hernando County School Board parking lot at about 10 a.m. They left for Ocala at 11 o’clock as a convoy. The organizers said now that Marion County voted to keep flying the Confederate flag at the McPherson Governmental Complex, this will be “a victory parade of sorts.”
The supporters and their families including children and teens took off by cars, truck and motorcycles carrying the flags expecting to arrive to Ocala by 1 p.m.
