Restaurant manager fired after video of him hitting female ex-employee surfaced online

NEW YORK, NY (NBC New York) – A manager at the Panera Bread in Manhattan has lost his job after a video was posted online showing him knocking out an employee, NBC New York reported.

According to NBC News, police was called to the bakery’s location in Manhattan after the fight Wednesday afternoon. The employee had been fired earlier that day. She allegedly returned to the store hours later and hit the manager first, as he told NYPD.

The video posted on YouTube shows the female employee yelling at the male manager and trying to hit him. He is seen grabbing her by the collar and knocking her down.

Several other workers tried to pull them apart. According to NYPD, the employee admitted to hitting the manager first. The manager didn’t place charges.
