Pinellas Park Police officers, K9 Luuk and local bail bondsmen apprehended a wanted felon in Pinellas Park Saturday.

Michael A. Towns, 25, was wanted on three outstanding warrants for possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear and failure to appear for DUI. The bail bondsmen tracked him down to revoke the bond and told Pinellas Park PD about him.

The crews surrounded Towns in a home located at the 5700 block of 82nd Avenue North. He rushed out of the back door and ran.

PPPD Officer McCullough and K9 Luuk caught up with Towns near 82nd Terrace and 57th Street, Luuk knocked him down in a driveway.

Paramedics treated Towns’ minor injuries and he was arrested. for resisting an officer without violence and on his outstanding warrants.
