A 12-hour operation in central Pinellas County put 32 people behind bars Thursday, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies worked together with Clearwater, Pinellas Park and Largo police and US Marshal’s office to target people with outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.
“Operation Street Sweep” started at 7 a.m. Thursday. The law enforcement teams covered four zones in the county. According to PCSO, 31 people were arrested on 35 outstanding warrants. One more person ended up in jail on a non-warrant charge, and one more person had one extra charge to the warrant. Three more people with outstanding warrants were already in jail.
PCSO will continue to pursue arrests of suspects in the days and weeks to come.
