Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer helped an injured bald eagle to safety. FWC posted the photos of the rescue on their Facebook page.

The injured bird couldn’t move and was sitting at the edge of a pond at a county landfill. The bird was there possibly for several hours before FWC officers were called. Officer Bobby Ramos rappelled down a slick slope to the pond and was able to reach and snag the bird.

The officer took it to a local wildlife rehabilitation center for treatment.
