Hannah and Wilmy Moise may soon get a brand new wedding band.
The newlyweds took Hannah’s ring into Zales Jewelers for a routine inspection in September. A diamond was already missing, and the ring was sent off for repairs. It never came back to the Bradenton store.
The couple called 8 On Your Side when they say the store and corporate officials blew off their concerns. They wanted their ring or their money back.
After 8 On Your Side aired a story earlier this week and posted the story on social media, the company responded. The public took to Facebook to pressure Zales to take action. And the company did. Zales agreed to give Hannah and Wilmy their money back – plus 25 percent for their frustration.
“In total we’re getting $625 back,” Wilmy said. “That’s a really cool gesture for them to make.”
The couple plan to buy a new ring as soon as they get the check in the mail. They are excited to add a wedding band to Hannah’s engagement ring.
“It will mean a lot to us,” Wilmy said. “The wedding band is the most important ring.”
