WFLA-TV is producing two half-hour Buccaneer Cheerleader specials to air June 21st and 28th at 7 PM. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders: Making the Krewe will be shot in reality/documentary style showing 116 potential Cheerleader applicants pursuing their dream of becoming an NFL Cheerleader.

EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: Making the Krewe  – Special

Each year, the Buccaneers Cheerleaders must re-audition for a highly coveted slot on the squad. This year’s Cheerleading team features 20 returning ladies with 10 new rookies! These 30 women truly make an elite squad of dedicated professionals that will act as ambassadors for the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The two half-hour specials documents the journey from the multiple cheerleader Prep Classes, Open Call Audition to Final Dress Rehearsals. The show culminates on Draft Day where the final selections are announced and the new team performs for the fans attending the Draft Day Party in Raymond James Stadium.

Throughout the upcoming year, the Buccaneers Cheerleaders will have a busy schedule of rehearsals, game day performances and supporting more than 300 community appearances as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleader team!

WFLA sales account executive, Jordanna Boodhoo, sold both Brandon Honda and Orange Theory Fitness as the title sponsors of the Specials, which includes both on-air and digital packages. The shows are being directed, produced and edited by Andy Broady of WFLA’s Marketing Department with support from staffers of marketing, production and news.
